MEME - Michigan Educators Male Ensemble
announces auditions for two spots for 2021-22
1st Tenor
Baritone or Bass
MEME was created in 2013. We are a 10-voice semi-professional TTBB ensemble made up of vocal music educators from around the state. At the start of each academic year, we meet for an opening retreat to work on repertoire for the year, then complete 3-4 performances per year, either concerts, workshops or conventions. We do not meet regularly for rehearsal throughout the year, but we do meet occasionally for refresher rehearsals as the performance calendar dictates. Singers in the group are reimbursed for mileage and other travel-related expenses. Past performances have included the Battle Creek Symphony, Intercollegiate Men’s Choruses National Seminar, at Bay View Festival, MSVMA Summer Workshop, Michigan Music Conference, with the U. S. Army Chorus and as an opening act for Take 6.
In order to audition, you must be involved as a music educator in the state of Michigan (K-12, collegiate, church, or private instruction.). To download an application form, click here. To download the audition material, click here.
